Neuroscience

brainWhat is neuroscience?  Neuroscience is a field that scientifically researches the nervous system, mainly the brain. Neuroscientists can come from many disciplines, such as  psychologists, computer scientists, statisticians, physicists and research-oriented physicians. Neuroscience is at the frontier of investigation of the brain and mind. The study of the brain is becoming the cornerstone in understanding how we perceive and interact with the external world and, in particular, how human experience and human biology influence each other. Neuroscience research includes: how the brain controls language, learning and memory, hearing and vision, arousal, attention, emotion, controlling chronic pain and the neurobiology of brain diseases.

Dr. Schneider is a medical doctor who is one of these neuroscientists.
